My Backyard believes that its platform will lead to exciting new opportunities for BLA members as soon as it goes live. Providers will be able to upload a listing anywhere in the UK and potentially secure offers from buyers and rentiers anywhere in the world, England, Dubai, Spain, New Zealand, New York… and on your smartphone or laptop you will be able stay connected day-and-night to manage your listings and networks whilst on the move and this is just the start. As our network grows we will look to expand our IT solution with Smart Contracts and cryptocurrency to add greater value by facilitating frictionless border payments and implementing digital contracts.
There are around 4 billion people online and growing. Yet web-portals are still delivering the same top-down approach from fourteen years ago. Most offer limited coverage to one or two countries and private landlords and vendors are prohibited from listing directly, forcing providers to go through agents to market their properties. This is too slow and too expensive. My Backyard starts with the provider allowing them to create their own listings and directly connect with consumers which is a far more exciting proposition that can work
better for everyone.

Compares this with web-portals where listings can take days let alone factoring in the timescales for agents to arrange a first viewing. HOW TO GET STARTED?
My Backyard’s KYC and AML process must be completed by anyone wanting to transact, to create a digital fingerprint and digital passport. The process effectively secures proof of ID from consumers and proof of ownership from property owners so that everyone on the platform can be safe in the knowledge that whoever they are transacting with is who they say they are. Once the verification process is complete respondents will receive same-day notification confirming that their account has been activated. You are now free to start creating your listings and networking.
