Is there a time limit to request a warrant of control?

LANDLORD FORUMCategory: EvictionIs there a time limit to request a warrant of control?

I gained possesion of my property last year through a court order and the tenant was ordered to pay costs. The tenant has failed to do this and has failed to respond to a civil money claim and now has a CCJ. I believe that my options now are to ask them to attend court to find out what they can pay; request an attachment of earnings order (I don’t know where they work), a third party debt order (I don’t have her bank details) or a warrant of control. So, basically, does a warrant of control application sound like the best way forward? If so, is there a time limit to submit this following on from the tenant being issued with a CCJ?

i presume you have a possession order to evict the tenant? if so you need to apply for the bailiff to evict the tenant(s).

If the t3enant do not have any means to pay the debt dont waste any more money trying to pursue the debt. if you feel they have the means then get a high court enforcement officer to chase the debt on a commission basis. May not vbe a good idea to persue a attachment order. it cost money which you may not recover.
