Agent, who does not manage the property, has included a clause in the renewal agreement which restricts the tenant to using OVO (SPARKS) for their gas and electricity supply. The tenants dont want to switch to this company and I, the landlord, also do not want any tie in with them. I have repeatedly asked the agent, Townsends, to remove this clause but they refuse point blank to do so.I cant believe the Agent, who is not party to sigining the agreement can insist a third party company is included in the terms. Is this legal and who can I complain to? By the way, the agent is charging me 6% for the priviledge of letting my tenants stay on for another year with no rent increase and no contact with the agent at all. Many thanks
